how to use olive oil for hair - #22626

Kashvi

I am really trying to figure out how to use olive oil for hair, and honestly, I've read a ton of stuff online but nothing seems to match what I'm experiencing. Last month, I got my hair colored for the first time in ages, and now it's feelin super dry and kinda brittle. I keep hearing people rave about olive oil, like, how to use olive oil for hair in different ways—like should I apply it directly or mix it with something? One article said to heat it up, but I’m scared of frying my strands. Also, would it be better to do this before or after washing my hair? I tried putting it on overnight once, but it was just a sticky mess and I was worried it would make my scalp oily too. My friend said that she uses it as a leave-in conditioner, but how to use olive oil for hair that way? Like can I just put a bit on the ends or does it need to be more extensive? And what about those split ends? Should I focus on just the tips or cover the whole length too? I’ve seen some videos, but they make it look way too easy! Any tips from you guys on how to use olive oil for hair without turning it into a greasy situation would be awesome. I just really want my hair to feel healthy again, not all crunchy and dry… ugh! Thanks a mil!
