how to remove pimple in 1 hour - #18460

Shanaya

I am really stressing out over this pimple that popped up on my face right before a big date this evening. Like, it’s red and swollen, totally noticeable! I’ve tried ice and some cream that my friend suggested, but it still looks huge. I just need to know how to remove pimple in 1 hour or at least make it less visible? I heard maybe using tea tree oil might help, but I’m not sure if I should try that before going out. I also read something about applying a paste with baking soda? That sounds weird, but at this point, I’m willing to try anything! My skin is really sensitive, too, so I’m worried about making it worse. Plus, I have some plans for the weekend that I need my skin to be decent for. Ugh, why does this always happen when I have something important? I saw a video saying you could use an acetylsalicylic acid to dry it out, but any tips on how to remove pimple in 1 hour would be super helpful! Should I even touch it at all or just leave it and hope for the best?

If you’re looking to quickly reduce the appearance of a pimple within an hour, there are a few approaches you can try but always with caution, especially given your sensitive skin. Applying ice can help reduce swelling and redness temporarily, so using an ice cube wrapped in a clean cloth for a few minutes might be beneficial. Be careful not to apply ice directly to the skin for too long as it can cause irritation. Over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream can sometimes help reduce inflammation rapidly, but it’s not meant for regular use on the face, so only consider it for this one-time application.

Tea tree oil has antimicrobial properties that might help with acne, but it’s quite potent and should always be diluted with a carrier oil before applying to the skin. Since you have sensitive skin, it might be better to avoid experimenting with new treatments like baking soda or undiluted tea tree oil right before an important event. These can lead to more irritation for some people.

Acetylsalicylic acid, better known as aspirin, can be crushed and mixed with a small amount of water to form a paste. This can be applied to the pimple and left on for about 10 minutes before rinsing off. The salicylic acid can help reduce swelling and redness. However, it’s important to rinse it off well to avoid irritation.

Ultimately, if nothing seems to reduce it visibly in the hour you have, consider using a non-comedogenic concealer or color-corrector to mask the redness temporarily. Applying makeup might be your best immediate bet while taking more long-term care to address the pimple properly later. And whatever you choose, avoid squeezing or picking at the pimple, as this can lead to more inflammation and potentially scarring. If the problem persists or worsens, seeing a dermatologist can provide more tailored solutions.
