benefits of oily skin - #28340

Rhea

I am really starting to wonder about the benefits of oily skin. Like, for years I thought it was just a total curse. I mean, I’ve always struggled with breakouts and shiny patches, and it feels like I’m constantly battling with my skin. Just the other day, I had this huge event, and of course, my face was super greasy by mid-day. Ugh! But then a friend mentioned some of the benefits of oily skin, and now I’m curious if I’m missing something. She said something about how oily skin can actually age better because of that natural moisture, which sounded kinda promising? I even read a little about how those with oily skin might have fewer wrinkles as they get older, but is that true? Like, what are the actual benefits of oily skin, besides the usual advice about managing it? I had a facial, and the esthetician was talking about how some oils are good for balancing out skin, but I’m confused. Can someone explain the real benefits of oily skin? It can’t just be a total nightmare, right? I could really use some insight because I’m just feeling stuck with all this. Thanks!
