what happens if we apply ice on face - #27496

Pari

I am really curious about what happens if we apply ice on face, because I’ve been having this weird puffiness around my eyes lately, and it’s driving me nuts! Like, one morning I woke up and my under-eye area just looked super swollen. I tried cold spoons, but then I heard from a friend that ice can work miracles too. I slapped some ice cubes wrapped in a cloth onto my face for a few minutes, and honestly, it kinda felt refreshing but I'm wondering what happens if we apply ice on face regularly? Is that even safe? I did read somewhere that too much can lead to frostbite, yikes! Do I need to be careful about how long I keep it on? Also, I am kinda unsure about the best way to do it, like, should I directly go for the ice, or are there better methods? I mean, I just don’t want to mess up my skin more. I feel like in the age of skincare, we’re always looking for that quick fix, but I read mixed things about ice. Some say it reduces inflammation, while others say it can disrupt the skin barrier. Like, what happens if we apply ice on face every day? Am I risking it all for a bit of puffiness relief? Anyone had success with this, or should I just stick to other remedies?
