Chronic issues like these can be challenging and exhausting to deal with, both for you and your child. Let me break down some potential avenues to consider based on what you’ve shared. If your child is only consuming milk and not solid foods, she might be experiencing nutritional deficiencies despite your observations of her gaining weight. This weight gain could be from fluid retention or imbalances rather than actual nutritional intake, a scenario which might be worth discussing with a pediatric nutritionist. Since there were missing scope results, it’s imperative to follow up with the lab or the hospital to retrieve these results, as they might provide clues into what’s happening in her digestive tract. Her chronic constipation is concerning, especially since it requires enemas and hospital interventions. The intake of only milk can exacerbate constipation due to low fiber intake. Speaking with a gastroenterologist could help in managing her bowel habits and reviewing if her current medications, like Losec and Senokot, are optimized or appropriate for her situation. About her feeding aversion, working with the feeding clinic specialists is crucial as they can help address the psychological and physiological aspects preventing her from eating solids. They can implement strategies to introduce solid foods gradually while easing any anxiety or sensory issues she may have around eating. For eczema, note triggers such as certain foods, itching could worsen her overall comfort and willingness to eat. Integrating care between dermatology and dietary specialists will be essential for a comprehensive approach, alongside monitoring her reactions to any changes. Since she’s on multiple medications, check with a pharmacist or doctor to ensure they aren’t contributing to any side effects or symptoms. Coordinating this all requires a dedicated team, so ensure all specialists are communicating effectively. Given interconnected symptoms, do push for consistent follow-up appointments and possibly a second opinion, if you’re not seeing progress. If her condition worsens or additional symptoms appear, seek immediate medical attention stressing the urgency and persistence of her symptoms.
