Hello dear See in babies at the mentioned age usually excrete yellow stools. It is totally normal However if the stools are green it means Either diet is iron rich Metabolic processes Spinach or brinjal diet Chromogenic bacteria So it is not abnormal However you should not worry if there is Vomiting Diarrhea Weakness Discomfort Change of colour to clay white In that case There is need for consulting the pediatrician Regards

If your baby has been having yellow and green stools for a week, even with the use of Enterogermina, it’s important to consider a few things. Firstly, in many infants, having stools in various colors, including yellow and green, might not necessarily be a cause for concern, especially if your baby is otherwise healthy, feeding well, and not showing signs of dehydration or distress. However, prolonged changes in stool color can sometimes indicate an underlying digestive issue or an infection, particularly if accompanied by symptoms like fever, irritability, or poor feeding. Enterogermina is a probiotic that can help restore gut flora balance, but it may not address all underlying causes. It’s critical to ensure your baby stays hydrated, so continue breastfeeding or providing formula as recommended. Watch for signs of dehydration like reduced urination, dry mouth, lack of tears, or lethargy. Given that this has persisted for a week, the prudent step would be to have your baby evaluated by a pediatrician. A healthcare professional can carry out a thorough physical examination and, if necessary, request tests like stool analysis to rule out infections or malabsorption issues. Also, discussing your baby’s recent diet, any new foods introduced, or potential exposures to infections can provide useful insights. While waiting for a medical appointment, it’s best to avoid over-the-counter medication or dietary changes without specific medical advice. If your baby experiences severe symptoms like high fever, unrelenting vomiting, or severe dehydration, seek medical care urgently, as these can require immediate attention.
