Hello As you have taken medicine and around 2 week are over , bleeding must be now mild than before It can continue till 3rd week but very less in amount
I would like to get a USG abdomen done as we need to confirm that it was successful or not and are there any product of conception left
Also if you will visit hospital they will not able to differentiate between miscarriage and abortion, probability is very less.
Also examination by gynecologist is needed to prevent from future issues like infection or band formation (stricture)
First get a USG abdomen done to get confirmation
Feel free to ask any doubts
Hello dear It seems a medico legal issues so details are mandatory So you need to confirm the reason for abortion and which medication was taken and prescribed by whom Regards
Medical abortion with pills usually involves a medication regimen like mifepristone followed by misoprostol, and bleeding and cramping are common symptoms post-abortion. Bleeding might be similar to a heavy menstrual period and can last around two weeks, though this depends on the individual. Since it’s been 14 days and you’re still experiencing bleeding and cramps, it would be wise to get checked by a healthcare provider to ensure everything is progressing normally and there’s no retained tissue or infection. When you go for a check-up, healthcare professionals can sometimes tell the difference between a medical abortion and a miscarriage through a detailed history, examination, and perhaps ultrasound imaging. If you decide to go to the hospital, simply being clear about your symptoms will help them assess whether further investigation or treatment is necessary for your well-being. Especially, if you are experiencing severe pain, prolonged heavy bleeding (soaking more than two maxi pads in an hour for two hours), fever, or foul-smelling discharge, get medical attention without delay. It’s essential to prioritize your health and ensure that any necessary follow-up care is provided promptly.
