Doctors’ responses

For managing oily-combination skin with large pores and blackheads/whiteheads, consider using a gentle cleanser containing salicylic acid, which can help clear out pores without over-drying the skin. Adding a lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturizer can maintain skin hydration without clogging pores. Use sunscreen regularly to protect against UV damage, which can worsen pigmentation. For pigmentation issues, a topical treatment with vitamin C or niacinamide may help brighten skin tone and reduce dark spots gradually. It’s important to be patient with pigmentation treatments, as results can take time. For dark circles, ensure you’re getting adequate sleep; however, if they persist, topical caffeine or retinoids formulated for the eye area might help. For persistent hair fall not linked to genetics, ensure you’re consuming a diet rich in proteins, vitamins (especially B vitamins), and minerals like iron and zinc. Consulting with a specialist regarding potential nutritional deficiencies or hormonal imbalances would be a good step, as these can contribute to both skin issues and hair health. Reducing stress through relaxation techniques or exercise can also positively impact hair growth and skin condition. In some cases, using topical minoxidil may be recommended by a dermatologist to support hair regrowth. Be consistent and give any treatment at least 3-6 months to evaluate effectiveness, but do seek specialist advice for personalized care, particularly in assessing non-genetic hair loss causes.
