how to use sesame seeds for hair growth - #24183

Myra

I am really curious about how to use sesame seeds for hair growth, like I’ve heard some good things about them! Couple weeks ago, I started noticing my hair thinning a bit and it’s kinda freaking me out. My aunt mentioned she used sesame seeds and had great results. The funny thing is, I’ve never really thought about sesame seeds beyond just putting them on bagels or maybe in stir-fries. Anyway, I did some digging online, and there’s all this advice on how to use sesame seeds for hair growth. Do I just eat them? I tried sprinkling a few on my salads, but it seems like there should be more to it, right? Some sites say to make an oil out of them or even mix them with other things like coconut oil or amla. Should I be using them topically? What are the best ways? And how long does it take to see results? I’ve seen people saying it may take a month or two, but that seems like kinda long. Like, I’d love to know if mixing them with anything makes a bigger difference in how to use sesame seeds for hair growth. Really need to figure this out fast! It's like my hair is my crown, and I’m just feeling a bit lost here. Anyone have tips or personal experiences on this?

Sesame seeds are reputed to promote hair growth, largely because they’re rich in nutrients like Vitamins B and E, calcium, magnesium, and iron. For them to help, the approach can be multifaceted. Eating sesame seeds is a good start; include them in your daily diet, such as in salads, smoothies, or on rice dishes. Aim for a small handful each day to benefit from their nutrient profile.

Topically, sesame oil, extracted from these seeds, can be quite beneficial for scalp health. Use pure sesame oil as part of a hair massage routine. You could start by gently warming the oil and applying it directly to your scalp, massaging in circular motions. Doing this once or twice a week could help improve blood circulation and potentially nourish the hair follicles too.

You can mix sesame oil with other known oils like coconut oil or even amla oil, both of which have their own benefits for hair health. This combination can provide a richer nutrient profile. Leave the oil on for at least 30 minutes before washing it out, or consider leaving it overnight for deeper hydration. Frequency and consistency are key—expect to potentially see some improvement after about 6-8 weeks, which is the typical hair growth cycle duration.

Bear in mind, though, that there can be numerous factors causing hair thinning, such as stress, hormonal changes, nutritional deficiencies, or underlying health issues. It might be worthwhile to ensure your overall diet is balanced and rich in diverse nutrients. If you notice any other symptoms or the thinning persists, consulting with a healthcare provider to rule out any underlying conditions might be prudent. Hair health can be complex, and ideally, addressing it involves a holistic approach.
