can we use nalpamaradi thailam overnight - #26953

Janvi

I am really confused about this whole thing with nalpamaradi thailam. I started using it for some skin issues I've been having for a while now, like dryness and some odd patches that just won't go away, and someone told me that it works wonders! The first few times I used it for just a few hours, and I saw some improvements, but now I am curious. Can we use nalpamaradi thailam overnight? I mean, is it safe for that long? I read somewhere that it might do even better if left longer, but I'm worried about clogging my pores or making things worse. Last night, I left it on for six hours, and honestly, my skin felt nice in the morning, but I’m still kinda hesitant about the overnight thing. Is it too much? Do any doctors here have actual experiences on how long is okay for this nalpamaradi thailam stuff? I also heard it could interact badly if used too frequently or improperly. Like, should I just stick to a few hours? Or what if I did try overnight, and it didn't go well? Ugh, I just want my skin to clear up and not go through more hassle, you know?

Doctors' responses

Using nalpamaradi thailam overnight can be generally safe for many people, especially if you’ve already noticed some positive effects with shorter applications, like the six-hour trial you mentioned. This oil blend, often used in Ayurvedic practices, is indeed known for its moisturizing and nourishing properties, which can be beneficial for conditions like dryness and patchy skin. Still, whether to leave it on overnight can depend on how your skin reacts to it. Nalpamaradi thailam contains turmeric, which has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, but it also might stain your skin and clothes a yellowish color if left too long. Before you commit to overnight use, it’s essential to consider your skin type. If you have oily or acne-prone skin, there can be a risk of clogging pores, potentially causing breakouts or irritation. To mitigate these risks, you might want to start by patch testing a small area of your skin overnight, and if no irritation occurs, you can gradually increase the application time. If irritation does appear, it’s best to revert to shorter periods like a couple of hours and to thoroughly wash it off with a gentle cleanser afterward. As for frequency, using it daily might be excessive and could potentially lead to buildup. Instead, you could use it about 2-3 times a week, observing how your skin responds. Should you ever experience increased irritation, redness, or unexpected reactions, it’s advisable to stop and consult a dermatologist, particularly if you have underlying skin conditions or sensitivities. Keeping your skin’s response as the primary guide to how you use this oil will help balance the benefits and avoid complications.
