Is it possible for appendicitis symptoms to improve with medication without surgery? - #30743
I am a 16-year-old male. I developed abdominal pain and nausea yesterday. I saw a doctor, who suspected appendicitis and prescribed medications, but I did not have surgery. It has now been about 10 hours since taking the medications, and I feel much better. I have not had repeated vomiting, and I am able to drink and eat. However, I still have mild pain when I move or stretch my hips. Could you please help me understand: - Is it possible for appendicitis symptoms to improve with medication even without surgery? - Can appendicitis temporarily improve and then worsen later? - Is mild pain with movement or stretching concerning? - What warning signs should make me seek emergency care immediately? - Do I need any further tests or follow-up even though I am feeling better?
