Hello dear Thanks for the response. See i think you have already taken medications. The problem seems to be not getting cured with medications. So there may be requirement of surgery or any other invasive procedures. So i suggest you to please get in person consultation with ent specialist for further details. Hopefully you get a permanent solution from the concerned doctor. Please take any medications or precautions from the advice of concerned physician only Thanks
Enlarged tonsils persisting for over three weeks with a white line, even in the absence of other symptoms, is a situation that definitely warrants further scrutiny. Tonsillar enlargement that’s been persistent could suggest several potential causes, including chronic infection, hypertrophy, or possibly more serious conditions. The presence of a white line on the tonsils could indicate a bacterial infection, such as streptococcal pharyngitis (strep throat) or even oral thrush, a fungal infection. Although you mention no other symptoms, some infections can be atypical or present subtly. Immediate steps should involve reaching out to a healthcare professional to obtain a thorough evaluation. A physical examination, along with possibly a throat swab or blood tests, will enable a more accurate diagnosis. If it’s a bacterial infection, antibiotics may be prescribed. Without treatment, certain bacterial causes can extend and lead to complications. Meanwhile, ensure you maintain good oral hygiene and consider saltwater gargles as a gentle home remedy. However, do not rely solely on home remedies or over-the-counter medications when specific assessment by a healthcare provider is appropriate and necessary. If you notice any new symptoms like fever, difficulty swallowing, or breathing issues, those are red flags that should prompt an urgent medical assessment. It’s important not to delay a check-up as early diagnosis can guide you to the right treatment path.
