Hello Pranalika By going through your history and evaluation of your health status I must say that it’s a symptom of atrophic rhinitis . I am suggesting you following treatment as follows -
Rx - Nasal drop - xylometazoline - 2-2 drops - morning and night for 5 days Tab Montac lc - one tablet at night for 5 days Tab Amoxicillin 625 mg - one time a day for 5 days Tab paracetamol - if fever persist
Hope you will get fine soon…
Thank you
Your symptoms for one week—blocked nose, difficulty breathing through the nose, headache, dizziness, and weakness—may be due to severe cold, sinus infection, or allergic sinusitis, and you can try steam inhalation 2–3 times daily, saline nasal spray, and paracetamol for pain and fever (if needed and medically safe for you). An intranasal steroid spray (such as fluticasone or mometasone) and a short course of an antihistamine like cetirizine or levocetirizine may also help reduce nasal congestion, but these should be used under medical advice. Because your symptoms are lasting a week and causing breathing discomfort, please get evaluated by a doctor/ENT specialist to rule out sinus infection or other causes and to decide if antibiotics or further tests are needed.

Dealing with a cold, especially with a blocked nose, headache, and dizziness can definitely be uncomfortable. Given that your symptoms have lasted for a week, it may be more than just a common cold; it could be a sinus infection or another underlying issue. First, ensure you’re staying well-hydrated; drink plenty of fluids like water, herbal teas, or broths to help thin the mucus and keep your throat moist. Using a steam inhalation can help unblock your nose — try inhaling steam from a bowl of hot water for 10 minutes, once or twice a day. Over-the-counter saline nasal sprays or drops can also ease nasal congestion. They can be used multiple times since they’re generally very safe. Oral decongestants like pseudoephedrine may help reduce sinus pressure and congestion, but be aware of potential side effects like increased heart rate. Check with a pharmacist if you’re unsure. For headache, over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen can be effective, but take them according to the dosing instructions. Rest is crucial, try to get as much sleep as needed, and avoid any strenuous activities. Since you mentioned dizziness and weakness, these could indicate dehydration or another complication, so it might be wise to check in with a healthcare provider, especially if these symptoms persist. Watch out for symptoms like high fever, facial pain, or green sinus discharge, which would require medical evaluation. If breathing becomes notably difficult or symptoms worsen, seek medical attention promptly to rule out any serious conditions like pneumonia.
