Hi Areeba,
- Please consult an ENT specialist (Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor) at the earliest — they can visually examine your throat, tongue, and sinuses, and may advise imaging (like a sinus CT or neck ultrasound) if needed.
- Until then, you can:
Drink plenty of lukewarm fluids (avoid very hot or cold drinks).
Gargle with warm saline water twice daily.
Avoid spicy, acidic foods, and alcohol or smoking if applicable.
Eat soft, easy-to-swallow foods to prevent irritation.
* If symptoms worsen — especially severe pain, high fever, persistent nosebleed, or increased swallowing difficulty — visit the emergency department.
Hello Areeba,
These symptoms may indicates a head/neck infection/Sinus or neurological issues/growth in throat or nose etc
Kindly go to an ENT and the doctor will examine your throat ,neck etc. They can also take CT or MRI if needed.
Based on your symptoms, you 100% need an in-person medical examination as soon as possible.
Don’t delay the treatment
I trust this helps Thank you
Your symptoms suggest a left-sided sinus–throat inflammatory condition or deep neck/salivary involvement. Because of the swallowing difficulty, weight loss, and persistent pain, you should see an ENT specialist soon and get neck + sinus imaging to find the cause. Most such cases improve once infection or blockage is treated early.
1. Your symptoms suggest severe throat and sinus inflammation, possibly due to infection or acid reflux.
2. Take warm salt-water gargles twice daily, avoid spicy or cold foods, and drink plenty of warm fluids.
3. Use steam inhalation for nose and throat congestion and avoid talking too much till it eases.
4. Eat soft foods like soup, dal, rice, curd, fruits, and avoid fried or sour foods.
5. As you have pain near ear and facial area, please consult an ENT specialist soon for throat and sinus examination and antibiotics if needed.

Given the symptoms you’re describing—such as throat tightness, difficulty swallowing, weight loss, headaches, and facial pain—it’s important to consider several potential causes, ranging from infections to more serious conditions. The recent nosebleeds, left-side facial pain, and redness below your tongue suggest inflammation or possible infection, which could be due to a sinus infection, particularly given the nosebleeds and head pain. An oral health issue or dental infection might also contribute to the symptoms, particularly the pain and redness in the mouth area. For something this complex, especially with weight loss and significant difficulty swallowing, consulting an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) specialist is advisable. They can offer examinations like endoscopy to visualize the throat or sinus CT scans to check for underlying structural problems. Since your symptoms include unilateral (one-sided) pain, if things like swelling or obstruction were noted upon examination, considering neurological causes or more serious conditions like a tumor would be necessary. The urgency comes from the combination of weight loss, swallowing difficulties, and unilateral pain, each a potential red flag that needs thorough exploration, so don’t delay seeking an appointment. While awaiting a consult, minimize irritants like smoking or alcohol, which could worsen symptoms. Use saline nasal spray to keep nasal passages moist to help with nosebleeds, and stick to soft foods for easier swallowing. However, should new symptoms like fever, worsening pain, changes in voice, or increased difficulty in breathing occur, consider visiting an ER as these can be signs the condition is getting more severe.

These symptoms may be due to throat or sinus infection, or sometimes issues related to the tonsils or deeper neck region. The pain and difficulty swallowing along with weight loss and facial pain suggest it needs proper evaluation. Specialist consultation is advised (ENT specialist).
