Client_8a2990

“Hello doctor, meri nose par 8–9 mahine pehle chot lagi thi. Uske baad nose ki shape pehle se thodi different lagti hai, jaise thodi upar/tedhi ho gayi ho. Breathing normal hai aur pain bhi nahi hai. Kya ye cartilage ya bone issue ho sakta hai? Aur kya bina surgery kuch improve ho sakta hai?”

How would you describe the change in your nose shape?:

- More pronounced bump

Have you experienced any other symptoms since the injury?:

- Occasional swelling

Did you receive any treatment immediately after the injury?:

- No treatment at all

Is there any visible swelling or deformity now?:

- Yes, but minor

Have you had any breathing difficulties since the injury?:

- No, breathing is normal

Are you considering any non-surgical options to improve the appearance?:

- Yes, I'm interested in non-surgical treatments

Having an injury to the nose that occurred 8 to 9 months ago may potentially have led to changes in the structure of your nose, such as a misalignment of the cartilage or bone (nasal septum). This can result in an altered shape. Since you don’t have any pain or breathing difficulties, it suggests that there’s no major functional damage but rather a cosmetic change. It could be that the cartilage or bone settled differently during the healing process, resulting in subtle changes in appearance. Unfortunately, if the nose shape altered permanently due to structural changes, the most definitive way to correct it would be through surgical options like rhinoplasty or septoplasty, depending on the exact details of the alteration. However, if you’re not inclined towards surgery, some minor improvements might be temporarily achieved with nonsurgical options like dermal fillers, which are sometimes used to address surface irregularities or asymmetries, but these do not change the structure and are not a permanent solution. It’s crucial to consult with an ENT specialist or a facial plastic surgeon to assess the nose’s internal structure and determine the best course of action. They may recommend imaging like an X-ray or CT scan if needed to better understand the underlying changes. Meanwhile, continuously monitor for any changes in breathing or new symptoms, and avoid any further trauma to the nose. If your breathing remains unaffected and it’s more about the aesthetic aspect, addressing it with a specialist can help you explore your options and decide on what suits your situation best.
