after hair wash what to apply home remedies - #23818

Yuvan

I am seriously struggling with my hair care routine. After hair wash, I'm not sure what to apply to keep my hair healthy. I’ve tried all sorts of shampoos, but they tend to leave my hair dry and lifeless, especially after I wash it. Like, my hair feels like straw, and I can't stand it! I thought maybe some home remedies could help. I've heard people talk about things like applying coconut oil or maybe a banana mask or even just aloe vera. But honestly, after hair wash, what to apply really confuses me. Should I apply oils right after? Or is it better to use some kind of leave-in conditioner? And how often should I be using these home remedies? I tried a mixture of honey and olive oil once, thinking it would give me some shine, but honestly, it was such a sticky mess! Should I be worried about my scalp too, because I sometimes feel it itches after I wash? I'm open to any suggestions for after hair wash home remedies, but I need something that won’t take forever to do, ya know? Thanks for any tips you all got!

Finding the right post-wash routine can be tricky, especially when your hair feels dry. To start, after washing, applying a leave-in conditioner is typically the most straightforward approach. These products are designed to provide extended moisture and protect your hair from drying out. When looking for a suitable leave-in option, go for one that is formulated without harsh chemicals like sulfates or parabens, as these can exacerbate dryness. Applying coconut oil can be beneficial, but it’s best to use it sparingly. If you decide on coconut oil, apply a fingertip-sized amount to damp hair, focusing on the ends where the damage usually is prominent. Do this roughly once a week or as needed depending on dryness, to avoid greasiness. Banana masks and aloe vera can also be beneficial. For a banana mask, blend one ripe banana with a tablespoon of olive oil, apply after shampooing, let it sit for 15-20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Aloe vera is incredibly hydrating and can be applied directly from the plant or a gel form, as a light coating on damp hair. This method might be perfect for you since aloe tends to soothe scalp issues, which could help with itching. These treatments can be used once a week or every other week depending on your hair’s needs. As for the scalp, be sure not to neglect it. Consider a gentle scalp massage when applying any of these treatments, this can help increase blood flow and promote a healthier scalp. Finding the right balance with these remedies could take a little trial and error, so be patient with your hair as you test what works best.
