cardiac consult - #27004
I am kinda worried cause I’ve been having these weird heart palpitations, like it feels like my heart is racing for no reason. I went for a couple of runs thinking maybe I was just outta shape, but even when I’m just chilling on the couch, my heart feels like it’s about to jump out of my chest. Last week, I went to my primary doc and she mentioned I should get a cardiac consult because she thought my blood pressure was a bit high, but I totally don't want to freak out. I mean, does a cardiac consult mean something serious? Do you think they’ll run a bunch of tests or just talk to me about lifestyle changes? Sometimes I feel short of breath too, especially after climbing stairs or doing simple stuff, and I can’t help but think, am I doing too much too fast or could there be something really wrong? I’m only 32, and most of my friends are running marathons! Should I be worried that my doc suggested a cardiac consult or is it just routine? Like, what happens at a cardiac consult anyway? Anyone experienced this? I could really use some advice here!
