ent doctor pollachi - #27258
I am really stressing out over something health-related. For the past few weeks, I've been having this persistent stuffy nose and like, horrible headaches that just won't go away. I live in Pollachi, and even after trying saline sprays and allergy meds, nothing seems to really help. My friend suggested I see an ENT doctor Pollachi might have but I truly don’t know where to start. Is it even worth it to visit an ENT doctor Pollachi has, or should I just keep trying over-the-counter stuff? The headaches are kind of ruining my work and social life. I mean, like, how many more days can I just deal with this?! I also noticed I’m having some ringing in my ears, which wasn’t even there before! Ugh, it’s all so confusing. Should I just go for an appointment with an ENT doctor Pollachi has to see what’s really going on? Are there specific tests I should ask about or symptoms I should mention? Really hope someone can point me in the right direction before I lose my mind!

Doctors' responses
Considering your persistent stuffy nose, unrelenting headaches, and new onset of ringing in your ears, consulting an ENT specialist is a wise move. Your symptoms suggest a more detailed evaluation might be necessary, as they could indicate sinusitis, nasal congestion-related headaches, or Eustachian tube dysfunction among other conditions. These are not typically resolved by over-the-counter medications if symptoms persist for weeks. An ENT doctor in Pollachi will be able to explore further beyond initial treatments and help determine the underlying cause of your symptoms. They might use tools like a nasal endoscopy to visualize the inside of your nasal passages or suggest imaging studies such as a CT scan if sinus-related issues are suspected. Be sure to clearly share all your symptoms, including the nasal congestion, headaches, and especially the ear ringing, as this could help in directing your care more specifically. This will allow the doctor to align their approach better based on a full picture. It’s important not to delay, particularly if the symptoms are interfering with your daily life and work productivity as you’ve mentioned. In the meantime, to mitigate some of the discomfort, continue with saline nasal irrigation, stay well-hydrated, and perhaps consider alternating Tylenol and ibuprofen for headache relief — but be sure to follow package instructions. It’s essential, however, not to rely solely on self-care given the persistent nature of your symptoms and the introduction of new ones like tinnitus. Definitely set up that appointment because getting to the root of the issue with professional guidance is likely your best course of action.
