What is the hard swelling on one side of my nose after an injury and surgery, and do I need treatment? - #30687
I had a nose injury about 6 months ago and stitches were placed on my nose. After the injury, I noticed that one side of my nose became hard and thicker than the other side. This hard swelling is still present and is visible from outside. I later underwent septoplasty surgery. I do not have any difficulty breathing, and I do not have pain, fever, redness, or discharge from the nose. However, the hard and thick area on one side of my nose is still there. I would like to know whether this could be scar tissue, swelling, cartilage change, or a bone-related issue due to the old injury. Could you please advise me on what this might be and whether any treatment or further examination is needed?
