What to do after my cat scratched my hand and how to check for rabies risk?
My pet cat scratched my hand while playing. The scratch was very small (about the size of a sesame seed), not deep, and only a little blood came out. The cat was behaving normally and was not aggressive. My first aid / treatment: I washed the wound with soap and water for about 2 minutes. After that, I applied Dettol as an antiseptic. I felt mild burning after applying Dettol, which is a normal reaction with antiseptics. Rabies risk assessment: The cat is a pet cat, healthy, and had normal behavior. The wound was very minor. If the cat remains healthy for 10 days after the incident, the chance of rabies transmission from that incident is considered extremely low. Give me a solution doctor
