What are the small white bumps on my vulva, and do they indicate an infection or STI?
Hello, Doc. I recently noticed several small, smooth, white or skin-colored bumps on the inner pink part of my vulva (labia minora/vestibule) about 2–3 days ago. The bumps are grouped in a line, are all similar in shape and size, and are firmly attached to the skin. I have no pain, itching, burning, sores, bleeding, or unusual discharge. I have had sexual contact only with the same partner for a long time, and these bumps only appeared recently. Based on these symptoms, what are the most likely causes? Does this sound more like a normal anatomical variation (such as vestibular papillae) or an infection/STI? If it is a normal or benign condition, is it possible for it to disappear on its own? If not, are there any safe, non-surgical, at-home treatments or management options to reduce or remove their appearance? Thank you.
