I am struggling with my skin color and it’s been on my mind a lot. Lot’s of people tell me to love my skin as it is, but I can’t shake this overwhelming feeling that I want to look different. I know there are creams and treatments but they just seem kinda harsh or fake. I’ve tried some home remedies like turmeric masks which were supposed to help, but didn’t do much. My friends are also always talking about how can I change my skin color naturally, like without compromising my health or breaking the bank. Last summer I was outside a lot, and I noticed my skin darkened from the sun, which I didn't like, but I also don’t want to end up in a tanning bed or anything. I’ve read online something about drinking more water and eating certain fruits, like papaya or lemons, and these are supposed to help with skin tone too, but I don’t know how effective they really are.
