Hello dear See as per clinical history ovulation cycle had already completed Usually it should come between 20-25 days So probably it should come between 15-25 November Also , Since pregnancy involves penetration of penis so chances of pregnancy are nil However for confirmation, you must get pregnancy strip test blood HCG 7-10 days Also, Consult gynaecologist in person for better clarity Regards
Taking an emergency contraceptive like the I pill can definitely influence your menstrual cycle. The withdrawal bleeding you experienced is a common side effect, the hormones in the pill triggering it. This doesn’t necessarily indicate when your next period will arrive. After taking emergency contraception, it’s typical that your next period might come earlier or later than usual. Given that your periods were due on November 7th, it’s possible they could be delayed by a week or two. If your period is more than two weeks late, you should check with a pregnancy test to be sure. On the matter of pregnancy risk—the incident on October 15th involved no penetration, which considerably lowers the likelihood of pregnancy. Without penetration, the chances of sperm reaching the egg and causing pregnancy are quite low, almost negligible, unless there was direct genital contact with pre-ejaculatory fluid. If you’re very concerned, considering a pregnancy test after you’ve had a missed period can help ease your mind. Furthermore, tracking your menstrual cycle moving forward might be more challenging after taking the I pill, as it can cause some temporary disruption. Always try to recognize any unusual symptoms that persist, and if anything seems off, reaching out to a healthcare provider will provide more personalized guidance. Emergency contraception is a handy method for preventing pregnancy when accidents happen, but it’s not meant as a regular form of birth control.
Emergency contraceptive (i-pill) often shifts the menstrual cycle, so your next period will usually come about 4–6 weeks after the withdrawal bleeding you had (23–25 October). That means you might expect your next period roughly between 20 November and 8 December, although a few days earlier or later can still be normal.
Since there was no penetration and you also took i-pill afterward, the chance of pregnancy is extremely low, almost negligible, unless semen directly entered the vagina. If your period is delayed beyond mid-December, or you have pregnancy concerns, you may take a urine pregnancy test for reassurance and consult a gynecologist if needed.
Hello Simran,
Answer to your questions:
1.Your next actual period should arrive about 4–6 weeks after the withdrawal bleeding, i.e., between late November and early December.
2.Since the intercourse on 15th October had no penetration and you took the I-pill promptly, the chance of pregnancy is zero or extremely low.
I trust your concern is addressed Take care Thank you
Hello Simran By going through your history and evaluation of your health status following dates have been sorted out as follows - 15 Oct – Sexual contact (no penetration). 17 Oct – Took an i-pill (emergency contraceptive). 23–25 Oct – Withdrawal bleeding occurred for 3 days. 7 Nov – Your regular period was expected (based on your usual cycle).
Conclusions - That withdrawal bleed is not your normal period, but it’s often treated as a reset for your cycle. Next period date - 20th-30th November
Regarding chances of pregnancy - Since No penetration, and You took an i-pill within 48 hours, 👉 The chance of pregnancy is almost zero.
Thank you
Hello Simran, I understand your worry. If there was no penetration as you said, there is no chance that you will get pregnant. But still, just to clear your worries and doubts once and for all, kindly do a Urine Pregnancy Test at home, it’ll hardly cost you ₹50-60.
After taking emergency contraceptive like iPill, the menstrual cycle gets disturbed. There is no fix time when you’ll get your periods. If your pregnancy test comes negative you should just wait and watch, I understand that it is not as easy, but it is the only good option. Sometimes one full cycle just skips.
Still, if you want want your periods to come, kindly have a re-consultation after 7 days, I’ll prescribe you a medicine which will help you with your periods.

I am already taking ovarl L and one M tone syrup
You are already taking Ovarl L, which are Oral Contraceptive Pills. They themselves make sure that you don’t get pregnant. So no need to worry much.
Still, to clear things once and for all, do a simple Urine Pregnancy Test at home. It’ll hardly take you 5mins to do.
Rest, I can’t comment on your M tone syrup, as it is herbal/ayurvedic medicine. That’s not my expertise. I’m an allopathic doctor. Better discuss that with a certified ayurvedic practitioner only.
When should I do the pregnancy test
What if the pregnancy test is positive then what are the medicines that needs to be taken
If your pregnancy test comes positive, then you don’t have to take any medicine immediately. Get done an Ultrasound for Pregnancy Details and consult your nearest Gynecologist or a Family Physician for further management.
If you don’t want the pregnancy, don’t take any pills / medicine by yourself or via any online consultation unless the consultation is from a certified Gynecologist. It’ll do more harm than benefit.
The situation that I have told are there any chances of pregnancy as per your advice
The chances are less.
But to clear your worry, I am advising you the UPT.
If it comes negative, you’ll be tension free.
If it comes positive, you need to take further steps.
Can’t just keep thinking about it, as it wastes your time and energy.
Wait for your next natural period (likely around 20–30 Nov). If period is delayed by more than 10–14 days beyond that window, do a home pregnancy test just for reassurance. Avoid taking repeated i-Pills frequently it can disrupt cycles and cause hormonal imbalance. For future protection, consider regular contraception (oral pills or condoms).
