There is a risk of pregnancy even with brief penetration during ovulation. Take a urine pregnancy test after 10–14 days or consult a gynecologist immediately for emergency contraception options if within 72 hours. Avoid self-medication as abortion or hormonal pills should only be taken under a doctor’s supervision for safety.

Hello, The best way to avoid any pregnancy is using a barrier methods like condoms etc,so if you have used it then nothing to worry… If you haven’t used any method then now you have to use a emergency contraceptive pill, but use it under doctor guidance as something this can lead to excessive bleeding during periods or irregular menstrual cycles… Let me know you have any more questions

In situations where a pregnancy is not desired after unprotected intercourse, especially during the ovulation window, consider taking emergency contraception as soon as possible. There are two primary types of emergency contraception: oral pills like levonorgestrel (often called Plan B) or ulipristal acetate, and the copper intrauterine device (IUD) which can be inserted by a healthcare provider. Emergency contraceptive pills should ideally be taken within 72 hours after intercourse, but they are most effective the sooner they are taken. If considering the copper IUD, it can be a good option if inserted by a healthcare professional within five days post-intercourse, and it also provides ongoing contraception. It’s crucial to confirm that you are not already pregnant before starting any contraception. When it comes to medications for terminating an existing pregnancy, it’s important to consult a healthcare provider because these require a prescription and medical guidance. Options such as mifepristone and misoprostol are used, but only under medical supervision due to potential side effects and complications. Keep in mind that early medical advice is key to understanding your options safely and appropriately in line with your personal needs and legal regulations. If you’re unsure about any steps or have medical concerns, seeking advice and management from a healthcare professional as early as possible is the advisable course of action.
