how to remove pimples in one night - #16701

Rhea

I am really desperate right now. A few days ago I started breaking out in these painful pimples and I have no idea why. I usually keep my skin pretty clear, but now I have this big red pimple on my cheek and a couple more on my forehead. Like, they weren’t there yesterday! I have this event tomorrow, and I can’t show up looking like this. Can anyone tell me how to remove pimples in one night? I’ve tried ice, toothpaste (yes, I know that’s dumb), and some over-the-counter creams, but nothing seems to really work fast enough. I read that some people swear by using tea tree oil but what if it makes it worse? Or are there any home remedies or tricks that actually help with getting rid of them? What about those patches you stick on them? Do those really help to remove pimples in one night? I don’t know, I’m just freaking out here. I’ve got to do something quick. If I could just figure out how to remove pimples in one night, I'd feel so much better. Anyone got advice?

While it’s challenging to completely remove pimples overnight, there are a few evidence-based steps you can try to reduce their appearance. First, ensure your skin is clean by washing with a gentle, non-comedogenic cleanser, this helps to remove dirt and oil that might be contributing to the breakouts. Follow with an over-the-counter treatment containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, as these can help reduce inflammation and kill acne bacteria. Apply just a small amount directly to the pimples, avoiding the surrounding skin to minimize irritation. Tea tree oil is an option you might consider, but apply it cautiously; dilute it with a carrier oil to avoid potential skin irritation.

Acne patches or hydrocolloid dressings can also be useful. These patches help by drawing out impurities and keeping the area protected from bacteria while reducing inflammation. They’re not guaranteed to remove the pimple entirely, but they can make a difference overnight, reducing redness and swelling. Apply the patch to clean skin before bed and let it work through the night.

Avoid touching or picking at your pimples since this can exacerbate inflammation, make them more pronounced, or lead to scarring. Refrain from toothpaste or harsh home remedies as these may cause irritation or dryness. If your pimples are persistent or very painful, it might indicate a different underlying condition or infection, in which case seeing a dermatologist is recommended. But for a quick overnight fix, focus on these steps. Remember to tailor these actions according to your skin type and allergies, often a single night’s treatment can at least make blemishes less noticeable.
