how to increase hair volume male - #22716

Reyansh

I am really struggling with my hair lately and need some help. I'm a guy, and my hair used to be so thick and voluminous but now it seems to be getting flatter every day. Like, no matter what I do, I can't figure out how to increase hair volume male. I've tried different shampoos and conditioners but nothing seems to work. My buddy recommended some styling products, but honestly, they just weigh my hair down even more. The other day, I saw some old photos and I can't believe how different my hair looks now. I’ve noticed that when I style it, it barely holds any volume at all, and I end up with flat hair by the end of the day. The hairdresser said something about using the right products, but I just don’t know what to look for. Do any of you have tips on how to increase hair volume male in a way that doesn’t involve a full-on hair routine? Also, can diet play a role in this? It sounds silly but maybe I need to rethink what I eat? I'm really worried I might have to go for a drastic change and I just wanna figure out how to boost it back to how it was before. Any advice would be super appreciated!

To increase hair volume, focus on both external and internal factors. For external strategies, start by selecting volumizing shampoos and conditioners; these are specifically designed to enhance volume without heavy residues. Be cautious with styling products; opt for lightweight mousses or volumizing sprays over heavier gels or waxes. When drying your hair, try blow-drying with your head upside down to elevate the roots. Use a vent brush or choose a round brush to lift hair while drying, enhancing volume. When cutting your hair, talk to your stylist about layering; layers can add volume. Avoid over-washing as this strips natural oils, use dry shampoo for a volume boost between washes which can also help absorb excess oils that may weigh your hair down. As for diet, it does play a significant role. Ensure you’re consuming enough protein (hair is mostly keratin, a type of protein), along with essential vitamins and minerals. Vitamin B-complex, zinc, and iron are particularly important for hair health. Foods like eggs, nuts, spinach, and fish are great choices. Staying hydrated, too, is crucial for overall hair health. If thinning persists or if you’re noticing patchy or significant hair loss, consulting with a dermatologist might be wise to rule out any underlying conditions such as male pattern baldness or nutrient deficiencies. They can provide treatments like topical minoxidil or finasteride, which have clinical evidence supporting use in male hair thinning. Remember, consistency in these approaches can yield better results over time, usually within a few months, so patience is essential.
