how to use sesame oil for hair growth - #22882

Kian

I am trying to figure out how to use sesame oil for hair growth. Lately, I've been dealing with some hair thinning, and it's really bothering me, especially since I've always had thick hair. A friend told me that sesame oil can be great for this, but I honestly don't know where to start. I read a few articles saying it can noursh your scalp and promote blood circulation, which sounds good, but how should I actually apply it? Like, do I just slather it on my head and hope for the best? A couple weeks ago, I started feeling some dry patches on my scalp too, which is another reason I wonder if I should be using sesame oil or something else. Should I mix it with another oil or is it good to use on its own? Oh! Also, I’ve heard it can help with split ends, but if I'm using it regularly for hair growth how often do i need to do those oil massages? Should I rinse it out after a few hrs or leave it overnight? I've seen some people claiming incredible results with sesame oil for hair growth, and I’m kinda hoping I could join them. Anyone here with experience or tips? How to use sesame oil for hair growth effectively?

Sesame oil can be an interesting addition to your hair care routine for potentially supporting hair health and growth. Firstly, it’s important to focus on how you can integrate it effectively into your routine and ensure it fits well with your lifestyle. You can start by warming a small amount of sesame oil—about 2-3 tablespoons depending on your hair length. Warm it slightly, either by rubbing it between your hands or using a gentle heat source, as warmth helps the oil absorb better into the scalp. Then, apply it gently to your scalp using your fingertips in a circular motion, ensuring you’re covering any areas of thinning or dryness you mentioned. This technique helps to stimulate circulation, albeit modestly, possibly aiding hair health that way. Leave the oil in your hair for at least 30 minutes to an hour, but you could also opt to leave it overnight if you prefer. Just remember to use a towel or cap to protect your bedding. Instead of using another oil simultaneously, it’s often simpler to evaluate the impact of sesame oil alone before combining it with others. Regarding frequency, aim for once or twice a week initially to see how your scalp and hair respond, then adjust as needed. When it comes to the claims about sesame oil stopping split ends, recognition that these effects might be more about preventing breakage and providing moisture, rather than actual healing of split ends, is essential. Always consider that hair thinning can be influenced by various factors such as diet, stress, or overall health, so while trying sesame oil could be beneficial, it might be worthwhile to consult a healthcare provider for a more comprehensive approach especially if it persists or worsens.
