can i eat apple during cold - #24860
I am feeling really rough right now, have this nasty cold that's been hanging around for days. I usually eat healthy, and apples are one of my go-to snacks. But now I’m just not sure...can I eat apple during cold? On one hand, they say fruits are good for boosting your immune system, but I also heard that some fruits can make things worse when you're sick. Like, I’ve been having these sore throat and runny nose symptoms, and my stomach feels kind of off too. I read somewhere that eating certain foods might irritate an already sore throat, but then there’s all the fiber and vitamins in apples that could be helpful, right? My friends are saying just stick to broth and rest, but I can't help but think about my apples sittin in the fridge! If I do eat apple during cold, should I do something special like peel them or maybe eat them cooked? Can I even eat apple during cold, or would that just make things worse? I just want to feel better and not make things harder on myself, ugh! Any advice from anyone who’s been through this?
