how to treat an ear infection at home - #25911
I am kind of freaking out here! My son is just 5 and has been really fussy lately. He keeps pulling at his ear and saying it hurts, and last night he couldn't sleep at all. After looking at his symptoms, we went to the doctor, and they said it’s an ear infection. They prescribed antibiotics, but honestly, I hate giving him meds unless absolutely necessary! I started wondering about how to treat an ear infection at home, you know? I read about warm compresses and maybe some over-the-counter pain relievers, but I’m not sure what else I could do. Like, would something like olive oil drops help? Or is there a way to use essential oils? I’m just scared of making it worse since ear infections can turn painful really quickly. Should I avoid anything in particular? And how to treat an ear infection at home? I just want to make him feel better while we wait for the meds to kick in—if we even decide to use them at all. What has worked for other parents out there? Any tips? I'm open to natural remedies, too, but I just want to be sure we don't mess anything up!
