disadvantages of rubbing ice on face - #27113
I am really curious about the disadvantages of rubbing ice on face. Last week, I saw this viral video recommending it for skin tightening and reducing puffiness. Thought, why not try it? The first couple of times it felt nice and refreshing, but then I noticed my skin getting kinda red and itchy afterward. I'm not sure if that's normal? I mean, I’ve always had sensitive skin, but I was hoping the ice would help with some swelling I’ve had around my eyes, which is super annoying. Now I'm thinking, are the disadvantages of rubbing ice on face really worth the temporary cooling effect? Also, what if I overdo it? Like, can it lead to any long-term damage? I read somewhere that extreme cold can mess up the skin barrier or something, and now I’m starting to freak out a bit. Anyone else experience these strange side effects? Should I be looking for other, safer methods? I guess what I wanna know is, what are the main disadvantages of rubbing ice on face that I should be aware of before I keep going with this? Help!
