nursing caretaker - #27937

Parth

I am really struggling with this whole nursing caretaker situation right now. My mom is getting older, and honestly, her health isn’t great. Just last week, she fell and luckily, she didn’t break anything, but it just got me really thinking about how she needs help more than ever. The doctor mentioned that we might need to hire a nursing caretaker, but I'm kinda overwhelmed by the whole idea. Like, how do I even start looking for a good nursing caretaker? What should I look for? I want someone who’s experienced and kind, but not too expensive because, well, money is tight. My mom can be super stubborn and difficult sometimes, so I worry about how she’ll respond to having a nursing caretaker in the house. Just yesterday, she was saying she prefers to be alone instead of having help, which really complicates things. But I also can’t be there all the time, you know? Has anyone else gone through finding a nursing caretaker? What was your experience like? Did you have to go through agencies or could you find someone on your own? I'm honestly just scared and a bit confused about what to do next. Thanks in advance for any advice!
