disadvantages of eating curd rice - #28587
I am really concerned about something that’s been bothering me lately. My grandmother always swore by curd rice, saying it’s super healthy and easy to digest, but I’ve been hearing a lot about the disadvantages of eating curd rice too. Lately, every time I have it, which is like 3-4 times a week, I feel this weird bloating sensation and it just doesn’t sit well with me. A few weeks ago, I even noticed that my stomach was making these gurgling noises after lunch, and I thought maybe it was just something else I'd eaten, but then I had curd rice again and the same stuff happened! It’s really frustrating because I thought curd rice was supposed to be a good food choice, you know? Anyway, I did some googling and found people mentioning the disadvantages of eating curd rice, like possible weight gain or it being hard to digest for some folks. Is there any truth to this or is it just overblown? Also, did I mention that I'm kinda lactose intolerant too? That’s why I’m thinking could this be related or maybe something else entirely? I just want to enjoy my meals without feeling like a balloon! What do you all think?
