Hello dear See after 2013 there was no evidence of Pain Inflammation Swelling Deformity Loss of function So surgery is not the etiology However it seems just anatomical variation Usually the hand that is dominant is Prominent Strong Has more musculature In addition please get following tests done for confirmation of exact diagnosis and best treatment Please share the result with orthopedic surgeon for better clarity CBC Esr X ray Hand USG Ct scan of recommended by orthopedic surgeon Hopefully you recover soon Regards

It’s actually not uncommon for patients to notice changes in the appearance of their hand following surgery, even after several years. Having had a fracture and surgery in 2013, it could have led to some changes such as minor swelling, muscle atrophy, or altered blood flow. These changes might make one hand look slightly different in size or appearance compared to the other. The prominence of veins, however, can also be influenced by multiple factors: It could be due to increased blood flow to the area, skin thinning due to aging, or changes in muscle mass. It’s crucial to observe whether these veins appear bluish, swollen, or associated with any pain or discomfort, which could indicate a vascular issue. Now, if your hand size difference is subtle and not accompanied by other symptoms like weakness, decreased range of motion, persistent swelling, or changes in temperature or color, it might just be a post-surgical change that isn’t harmful. However, if there’s a significant size difference, or you’re experiencing discomfort, it might be wise to get it checked out. Make sure to consider any history of conditions that can cause changes in hand appearance, too, like arthritis or vascular disorders. For peace of mind, you could schedule a consultation with a healthcare professional, who may recommend imaging tests or a referral to a specialist if needed. They might also provide reassurance or a treatment plan if there’s a concern. In terms of self-management, keep an eye on any new developments, and keep the hand active and well-exercised if it’s pain-free, as regular movement can help maintain muscular health and promote good circulation. If there’s pain, it’s always best to rest and potentially discuss with a doctor before engaging in further activity.
