Should I take Physics or Maths with Chemistry and Biology for Medicine? - #30741
Should I take Physics or Maths along with Chem and Bio if I want to study Medicine in the future? I'm really confused about whether I should take Physics or Maths alongside Chemistry and Biology for A-Levels if I want to study medicine in the future. Online, I keep seeing that Physics isn't necessary for medicine and that most universities mainly require Chemistry and Biology. Because of that, I wanted to take Maths since I find it easier. But people around me keep telling me to take Physics. Even a doctor I know said I should take it because apparently many medical schools require or prefer it. Now I'm worried that taking Maths instead might limit my university options. I also don't really understand why Physics is important for medicine in the first place. Would taking Maths instead of Physics reduce my chances or university options for medicine?

Doctors' responses
Hello dear See for medicine physics, chemistry and biology are mandatory since in the secondary examination marks of all three subjects are counted. Fir medicine they are compulsory However maths can be taken as optional subject instead of physical education or computer Regards
