deepashri hospital - #13579

Kiaan

I am feeling really anxious about my health lately. A few weeks ago, I started having these weird pains in my chest, like they come and go, but sometimes they feel really intense. My friend suggested I go to Deepashri Hospital because she said they have great doctors there. I went and they did a few tests, like an ECG and some blood work. I don't really understand what all the results mean, but the doctor said something about my heart being fine, but I still feel off. I mean, what does "fine" really mean? Could something still be wrong, even if the tests are normal? Also, the hospital seemed really busy when I went, which made me feel a bit rushed during my appointment. Like, is that typical at Deepashri Hospital, or should I expect more time with the doctor? I'm just kinda confused and worried, you know? Has anyone else had a similar experience at Deepashri Hospital? Should I get a second opinion or would that be overkill? Just wanna figure out what’s going on with me and if I should go back to Deepashri or try somewhere else.

Doctors’ responses

When tests like an ECG and blood work come out normal and your heart is considered “fine,” it generally means there are no immediate signs of serious cardiac issues like a heart attack or major artery blockages. That said, anxiety and stress can sometimes manifest with physical symptoms like chest pain, and these can still feel quite distressing even when heart function is unaffected. If your symptoms persist, pursuing a second opinion could indeed help provide clarity and peace of mind. A different doctor might explore other potential causes, including non-cardiac sources of chest pain, like gastrointestinal issues or musculoskeletal conditions. It’s also worth discussing your anxiety with a healthcare provider, as managing mental health can play a significant role in alleviating physical symptoms. While busy hospitals like Deepashri might not always offer lengthy consultations due to high patient volumes, it’s reasonable to expect clear explanations about test results and next steps. If you felt rushed, consider asking for more detailed appointments or finding another provider who can offer you the time you need. Do keep a careful record of your symptoms—note when they occur, their intensity, and any associated factors—this will be helpful in further evaluations. Remember, persistent or worsening chest pain, especially if accompanied by other symptoms like shortness of breath, should be assessed urgently, even if prior tests were normal. It’s your health, so advocating for thorough and understandable answers is always appropriate.
