how to become white naturally and permanently in one day - #16678

Fatima

I am really anxious about my skin tone and have been thinking a lot about how to become white naturally and permanently in one day. I mean, I know that sounds kinda extreme but hear me out. My friend recently did this whole treatment and she’s way lighter now, like, it's crazy! I’ve been using some creams and stuff, but they're not really workin'. My skin is pretty dull and I feel like I just want to brighten it up without using harsh chemicals or undergoing something intense. I've tried lemon juice and yogurt masks, but nothing seems to achieve that drastic effect I'm looking for. Like, could there be a natural way? I’m also worried about potential side effects of any treatments since I've read a lot about bad reactions. Is there any advice on how to become white naturally that won’t totally wreck my skin? People say you should drink more water and eat fruits, but seriously, is that even going to help me turn my skin lighter overnight?? I'm at my wits' end here! Any tips or advice from doctors would be super helpful! Thanks!

Doctors’ responses

Skin tone is primarily determined by genetic factors, and regardless of various myths or trends, it’s important to understand that there’s no realistic way to permanently change your natural skin color significantly and safely in just one day. Attempting to lighten skin drastically overnight can involve risks, including damage or irritation from unproven treatments. Your friend’s situation might be the result of a specific product or treatment that targets hyperpigmentation or uneven skin tone rather than altering their natural skin pigment, and it’s always wise to approach such changes with skepticism until there’s strong evidence for safety and effectiveness. Bleaching agents or harsh chemicals can lead to complications like skin damage or increased sensitivity, especially if misused. Natural remedies like lemon juice or yogurt can offer temporary brightening effects due to their mild acidic properties but won’t result in dramatic changes quickly or safely. Drinking water and consuming fruits are excellent for skin health overall, as hydration and nutrition are foundational for maintaining clear and healthy skin, but these won’t lighten skin color drastically either. It’s important to focus on healthy skin habits like using sunscreen to prevent damage, staying hydrated, eating a balanced diet, and considering possibly consulting a dermatologist for personalized skincare. If persistent alterations in skin color are bothering you, a professional can explore if there are underlying issues like pigmentation disorders that need addressing. Altering expectations from a quick fix to a consistent skincare routine might not only promote healthier skin but can also help you feel more comfortable in the skin you’re in.
