I am really struggling with my skin right now and totally need some advice on how to prevent acne. Like, this all started a few months ago when my face just erupted out of nowhere. I never had issues during my teenage years, but now I’m dealing with painful cystic acne on my cheeks and forehead. I’ve tried all sorts of face washes and creams, but nothing seems to work. I even went to a dermatologist who suggested some treatments, but they are pretty expensive, you know? Anyway, I feel like I need to know how to prevent acne from coming back because it seems like every time I think I’m clear, bam! New breakouts show up just to ruin my day. Someone even told me that diet plays a role in how to prevent acne, but I’m not sure where to start. Should I cut out dairy or sugars? I’ve heard mixed things about that. Also, would changing my skincare routine really help in how to prevent acne, or is it just a gimmick? I tend to pick at my face too, and I know that doesn’t help, but I don’t really know how to stop. I feel desperate to figure out how to prevent acne for good! Any tips or personal stories would really help!
