does masturbation affect kidney - #22765

Shreya

I am really looking for some clarity on this whole thing with masturbation and how it might connect to kidney health. Like, lately, I've been feeling kinda off—more fatigue than usual, and my lower back feels a bit sore, which is making me worry. My friends keep saying that excessive masturbation can actually affect kidney function or something? I mean, I’m not sure if they’re just messing with me or if there’s truth to that. I've also read online that too much could lead to dehydration, which obviously can't be good for kidneys. That said, I don't know if these worries are just in my head because I’m stressing about it. I definitely don’t want to ignore my health, but I also don’t wanna overreact if it’s not a big deal. Like, does masturbation affect kidney, or can it mess with your overall well-being in other ways? Do I need to cut back, or is it just a myth? I’ve tried to look this up, but it’s so hard to figure out what’s real and what’s just stuff people say. If anyone has some real info on this, that would be awesome. Thanks!

Masturbation doesn’t affect kidney function directly, so your friends are probably just pulling your leg. There’s no scientific evidence linking masturbation to kidney issues. The idea that it could lead to dehydration is also a bit of a stretch; you’d have to masturbate excessively and even then, it’s unlikely to cause dehydration severe enough to impact kidney health. Fatigue and lower back soreness, on the other hand, can have several other underlying causes. It’s important to consider your overall lifestyle, including stress, physical activity, hydration, and even posture, especially if you’re sitting for long periods of time.

If you’re feeling consistently fatigued or experiencing persistent back pain, it’s wise to consult a healthcare professional. They can evaluate your symptoms more accurately, rule out conditions like kidney infections or stones, and offer guidance tailored to your specific situation. While masturbation is normal and generally healthy, any behavior indulged in to the extreme can become problematic, not because of physiological health, but because it might interfere with other areas of life.

For general well-being, make sure you’re getting enough rest, stay hydrated, exercise regularly, and eat a balanced diet. If the back pain or fatigue worsens, or if you notice any red-flag symptoms such as blood in urine, pain during urination, or fever, you should seek medical attention promptly. While it’s easy to be swayed by things friends say or read on line, it’s always helpful to base health decisions on accurate information.
