is oiling hair necessary - #23867
I am really confused about this whole oiling hair necessary thing. For the past few months, I’ve been hearing everyone talk about how important it is for hair health. My friends swear by it, saying that oiling hair is necessary to keep it strong and shiny, but honestly, I don't see much difference. Like, I used to oil my hair every week, but then I stopped because I felt like it made my hair greasy and weighed it down. Last week, I tried it again, and my scalp felt all oily and yucky by midday! But then I read somewhere that not oiling hair can lead to dryness and breakage, which worries me since my hair has been feeling kind of brittle lately. Plus, my sister says she never oils her hair and has beautiful locks. Now I'm thinking, is oiling hair really necessary for everyone or just a trend? What if I am missing out on something crucial? I just wanna know if skipping it means I’m doomed to dry, damaged hair forever! Can anyone share their experiences, like how often, and what oils are good? Or is it just overblown and oiling hair not necessary after all?
