Doctors' responses

Albendazole is generally used for treating parasitic worm infections, not for managing nutrient absorption issues or skin conditions. If you’re not seeing results from the nutrients you’re taking, it might not necessarily be due to a worm infection unless specific symptoms or a doctor’s diagnosis point in that direction. Common signs of a parasitic infection can include abdominal discomfort, unexplained weight loss, or notable changes in digestion, rather than just nutrient non-absorption or skin marks. The white circled mark on your face might be something unrelated, such as a fungal infection like tinea versicolor, or maybe just a benign skin condition. It’s a good idea to consult a healthcare provider who can assess your symptoms properly, perhaps examining the skin mark and considering tests if there’s a suspicion of an underlying issue contributing to your nutrient absorption. They can also help determine if a course of albendazole is necessary; it’s not something to start without professional advice, as it’s specific in its application and not tailored for broad unsupervised use. Ensuring a balanced diet that covers a range of nutrients, maintaining good hygiene, and taking advice from health professionals can be essential steps to addressing what you’re experiencing without risks of inappropriate treatments.
