Forehead pain when looking up with just your eyes could be due to a few reasons. One possibility is eye strain, which often happens from prolonged screen time or poor lighting. If that’s the case, taking breaks, adjusting lighting, and using artificial tears might help. However, if the pain is more intense, especially if it’s persisting, there could be another cause involved. Sinus issues are another common culprit for such pain; sinus congestion or inflammation can put pressure on the forehead region, worsening when you move your gaze upward. In such cases, using a saline nasal spray, staying well-hydrated, and possibly using a humidifier may provide some relief. Over-the-counter pain relief like ibuprofen or acetaminophen could alleviate symptoms, but it’s essential to use these as directed.

However, this symptoms can also be tied to neurological or vascular concerns, though less likely. If you start experiencing additional symptoms like severe headache, vision changes, nausea or vomiting, it’s crucial to seek immediate medical attention, as this could indicate a more serious condition. Similarly, if the pain intensifies or doesn’t subside after a few days of home care, it would be wise to get it evaluated by a healthcare professional to rule out anything significant and get the appropriate treatment. They might perform an eye exam, sinus assessment, or any necessary imaging. It’s best not to ignore symptoms if they persist or worsen. Remember, visiting a healthcare provider is recommended if the pain does not respond to typical self-care measures or if you have any concerns about your health condition.
