Pregnancy can occur in some circumstances even if ejaculation does not happen inside the vagina, though the risk is generally quite low. Activities like the ones you’ve described might lead to concerns about pre-ejaculate or sperm coming in contact with the vaginal area, especially if there was any transfer of sperm from the hands or other parts to the genital region. Since your period is delayed by eight days, taking a home pregnancy test is a practical first step. Most home pregnancy tests are quite accurate if done correctly and can generally give reliable results around the time of your missed period. If the test is positive, it’s a good idea to schedule an appointment with a healthcare provider for confirmation and to discuss next steps. If it’s negative but your period still doesn’t come, you might want to test again in a few days or consult with a healthcare provider to explore other possible reasons for the delay. Stress, dietary changes, or hormonal imbalances can also affect your menstrual cycle. Remember that while pregnancy is one potential cause of a delayed period, it’s not the only one. Keeping track of your menstrual cycle and any accompanying symptoms can help you and your healthcare provider get a clearer picture of what’s happening. Using reliable contraceptive methods in the future can also help prevent such anxiety and reduce the risk of unintended pregnancy.
