Ear fungal infection symptoms - #12544

Aasha

I am dealing with something kinda strange and honestly really worried. For the past few weeks, I noticed this itching and discomfort in my ear, and at first, I thought it was just water or something. But then, it started to feel more like a burning sensation, and I thought maybe I had ear wax or something. I went to a doctor, and they mentioned ear fungal infection symptoms which freaked me out a bit. I did some searching and found out that ear fungal infection symptoms can vary, but the itching and the discomfort I feel are pretty normal. I've also started to hear weird sounds, like a popping or crackling, which is really annoying! Is this normal? I just read somewhere that ear fungal infection symptoms could also include discharge, but I haven’t seen anything like that. Just some slight fluid sometimes, but not a lot. I keep thinking about how if it's a fungal thing, will it go away on its own? I've tried some over-the-counter drops, but I’m not sure if they’re helping. What am I even looking for to confirm if these really are ear fungal infection symptoms? Any advice or personal experiences would really help right now because I honestly feel lost!
