Hello dear As per limited information provided by you it seems your semen mortality rate is ok Usually it should have more 50 percent of viable sperms. As per clinical history,it seems 65 percent are viable and 35 percent are dead. It depicts normal morphology However for better clarity, Please share complete report Regards

Hi Govind, thank you for sharing your concern. I understand it’s stressful.

In semen analysis, three main parameters are very important for fertility: 1. Sperm Count: should be ≥15 million/ml. 2. Motility: should be ≥40% total motile (progressive + non-progressive). 3. Normal Morphology: should be ≥4% normal forms.

In your case: You mentioned motility ≈ 35%. This is slightly below normal, which means your sperm move a bit slower than ideal. Normal morphology being “okay” suggests your sperm shape is likely within the acceptable range.

So while your report isn’t bad, it’s borderline, which can sometimes make conception slower, especially if other factors (like your partner’s ovulation or stress) are involved.

Next Steps:

1. Repeat the semen analysis after 3–4 weeks at a standard lab or fertility center, ensuring: 2–7 days abstinence before test & Sample collected in lab, examined within 1 hour.

2. Get a Scrotal Ultrasound done to rule out Varicocele.

3. Avoid Smoking, alcohol, obesity, excessive heat exposure (laptop on lap, tight clothes).

4. Do Regular exercise, stress control, adequate sleep.

5. Start - Tab. Multivitamin once daily × 3 months.- Tab. Vit-E 400mg once daily × 1 month.

6. Partner Evaluation: Ensure your partner has ovulation tracking (Day 14–16 scan) and hormonal profile checked.

Also kindly consider consulting an IVF specialist for further evaluation and management.

Feel free to reach out again.

Your motility at ~35% is near borderline, and your morphology (if just meeting ~4%) is minimal but possibly acceptable under one standard. However, because you’ve been trying for 1 year, you should act as if there is a male fertility factor and do the full investigation

In a semen analysis, normal morphology and motility are crucial factors when evaluating fertility. If your normal morphology is above 4%, it is generally considered within normal ranges according to WHO guidelines. Meanwhile, with motility, having around 35% suggests that it’s a little below the ideal threshold but not drastically off. Motility refers to the activity and movement of sperm, impacting their ability to reach and fertilize an egg. If you’re concerned about fertility after trying for a year without success, it’s often advisable to consult a fertility specialist for a more detailed evaluation that also involves looking at your partner’s reproductive health. Both male and female factors can contribute to difficulties in conceiving. Lifestyle and health factors could also be influential—diet, exercise, alcohol consumption, and smoking can impact fertility. Consider implementing a balanced diet rich in antioxidants, regular exercise, and avoiding substances that can negatively affect sperm quality. It may be beneficial to repeat the analysis, as sperm quality can vary over time. Identifying and addressing any underlying issues is essential to possibly improve fertility outcomes. Sometimes, additional testing or treatments, like hormonal evaluation or assisted reproductive technologies, might be necessary. Be proactive yet realistic about trying alternative actions, since sometimes persistent effort may be required for successful conception.

Fertility can only be judged correctly by looking at the exact semen analysis numbers like sperm count, motility, and morphology, so your report needs to be reviewed carefully rather than just saying “normal.” Many couples trying for one year need small lifestyle or medical adjustments, but we need the report to know the right direction. Please consult an Andrologist or Fertility Specialist and share your semen analysis report so we can interpret it properly and guide the next steps.
