face pack cream - #15668
I am kind of freaking out! About a month ago, I started using this new face pack cream that my friend swore by. She said it was amazing for her skin, and I thought, why not give it a try? At first, I was like, wow, this face pack cream is making my skin feel really soft and hydrated! But then, after a week, I noticed these weird breakouts. š© I initially thought it was just a phase, maybe my skin adjusting to the face pack cream, but they just wonāt go away! It's been so frustrating. I even tried to change my routine and stopped using the face pack cream for a few days. I washed my face with a gentle cleanser and used a light moisturizer instead, but the pimples didnāt seem to care. I really liked how my skin felt with the face pack cream, but now Iām at a loss! Is this normal? Can a face pack cream actually cause acne after being fine for a week? Or am I just overreacting? I mean, do you guys think I should try a different face pack cream, or is there something I might be doing wrong? Any advice would really help! I just wanna figure this out before my skin totally freaks!

What youāre experiencing might not be unusual, especially if thereās something in the face pack cream that doesnāt agree with your skin. Itās possible the product contains ingredients that are known to cause acne or skin irritation in some people. Such ingredients might include comedogenic agents that clog pores or even fragrances and preservatives which can irritate sensitive skin. Itās common to confuse the initial benefits of a product with longer-term effects; your skin felt soft and hydrated at first but then the reaction could have built up over time as your skin becomes more reactive. Since youāve discontinued the face pack cream but still have breakouts, it could also be a sign of skin purging, where new activity under the skin initially worsens its appearance. However, this should improve as skin adjusts, usually after about 4-6 weeks, but since itās not clearing, there might be a genuine allergic or irritant reaction at play here. Sticking to a gentle skin care routine with minimal products can help during this time. Keep washing your face with a mild cleanser, and stick to non-comedogenic products. Consider using an over-the-counter treatment containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid targeting pimples, as they can help reduce acne, but be cautious in mixing too many treatments at once. If the breakouts persist or worsen, it would be wise to see a dermatologist for further assessment. Trying another new face pack cream right away might exacerbate the issue until the current one settles down. Instead, focus on stability and gentle care till your skin calms, then consider re-evaluating your skin care needs to avoid future reactions.
