aloe vera gel how to use - #19475
I am trying to figure out aloe vera gel how to use correctly because I just bought a big bottle, and I have no idea what I'm doing with it. My friend swears by it for everything, but I'm kinda confused. Like, I used it on a sunburn a few days ago, and it felt nice at first, but then it kinda dried up and left my skin feeling tight? Is that normal? Also, I have a few weird dry patches on my elbows and knees—would putting aloe vera gel how to use on those areas help? Am I supposed to mix it with something or just apply it straight? And I keep hearing about how it can help with acne too, but I have sensitive skin so I'm scared to try. What if it breaks me out instead? I read somewhere that some people use aloe vera gel how to use for their hair too, which sounds great, but my hair is super oily already. Would that just make it worse? Really should I be putting it on my scalp? I don't wanna waste this stuff if I'm not using it right. Any tips would be super appreciated!

Aloe vera gel can indeed be pretty versatile, and you’re not alone in feeling a bit overwhelmed with how many things people claim it can fix. Let’s sort through some of these. For your sunburn, it’s fairly common for aloe vera to feel soothing at first and then a little tight as it dries. What happens is that aloe draws moisture to the skin, but once it dries, it might leave a film that feels tight. You can layer a moisturizer on top of the aloe vera once it’s absorbed, which might help keep your skin from feeling too tight or dry.
On dry patches like your elbows and knees, aloe vera can be helpful due to its moisturizing properties. You can apply it directly to see how your skin reacts. If you find it isn’t quite moisturizing enough, consider mixing it with a bit of coconut oil or shea butter to enhance its hydrating effect. Regarding using it for acne, aloe vera does have anti-inflammatory properties, which can be soothing for sensitive skin. Since your skin is sensitive mix a small amount with your usual moisturizer first, and apply it to a patch test area before going full face.
About your hair, using aloe vera on the scalp can be beneficial as it might help with itchiness or irritation without weighing it down, which is great for oily hair. Apply it to your scalp and leave it on for about 20 minutes before washing it out. It shouldn’t make your hair more oily but watch out that it doesn’t increase sensitivity or irritation on your scalp. If any skin area becomes more irritated after using aloe, it might be wise to stop and consult a dermatologist. Keep an eye out for negative reactions and pay attention to how your skin and hair feel, adjusting how you use aloe vera as needed.
