how to remove blemishes on face - #21232

Palak

I am dealing with this really frustrating problem lately. My skin has started breaking out, and now I have these annoying blemishes on my face that won't go away. I think they got worse after I switched to a new skincare routine that my friend recommended. I thought it’d help, but it feels like I’m just making things worse! Like, I try to cover them up with makeup, but it just ends up looking cakey. I’ve tried some home remedies too, like lemon juice and honey, but nothing seems to work!!! Has anyone here figured out how to remove blemishes on face effectively? I went to a dermatologist, and they suggested a topical cream, but honestly, I’m not sure if I want to go that route or try something more natural. I read online about things like chemical peels or laser treatment too, but that sounds kinda extreme? Ugh, I don't know what to believe. I'm just tired of waking up every morning and seeing these blemishes on my face! What do you guys recommend for how to remove blemishes on face? Is there like a favorite product or a treatment that actually works? Any tips would be super helpful right now!

Blemishes can be incredibly frustrating, especially if they’re resistant to various treatments. It’s important to start with understanding what might be causing these breakouts in the first place. New skincare routines can sometimes trigger acne or worsen existing conditions, particularly if the products used are not suited to your skin type or contain potentially irritating ingredients. Your reaction to these products is crucial; look for non-comedogenic labels meaning they won’t clog your pores. Since you’ve already tried home remedies, remember that while natural ingredients like lemon juice and honey might work for some, they can sometimes cause irritation or dryness. Lemon juice is acidic and can make your skin photosensitive, so use with caution. Consider returning to basic skincare: a gentle cleanser, a moisturizer that suits your skin type, and sunscreen every day. Topical creams from dermatologists, while they may seem less natural, are often formulated based on extensive research, which can make them more effective for these issues. Ingredients like benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, or retinoids have proven efficacy in acne treatment but can take a few weeks to show obvious results. As for more intensive options like chemical peels or laser treatments, these can be effective in reducing blemishes but should be considered once topical treatments have been explored. These procedures are typically safe when performed by reputable professionals, though they come with recovery periods and cost considerations. A balanced diet and good hydration level can also support skin health. At times, managing stress through exercise, meditation, or other activities can help as stress is known to trigger acne in some individuals. If blemishes persist or worsen, it might help to revisit the dermatologist for further evaluation and tailored advice.
