How to fix my penis

Raghav

I am really stressing out over a situation I’ve been dealing with for a while now. A few months back, I started noticing some issues down there. It's hard to talk about, but I seem to have lost a bit of sensitivity and sometimes it feels kinda painful when I’m getting aroused, which is super frustrating. I thought it was just anxiety or maybe something temporary, but it hasn't gotten any better. I've tried some over-the-counter products thinking that would help, but honestly, they just didn’t work at all. I’m not sure what else to do. I've read a bit about various conditions and was wondering if anyone has experience with how to fix my penis, like, what are the options? Should I see a urologist, or would my primary care doctor be enough? I just feel kinda lost and embarrassed, ya know? I don’t want to ignore it but I also don’t want to go down a rabbit hole with treatments that don’t work. What could be some possible causes for these changes? And how to fix my penis — is surgery even a thing that people consider for this? I hope that’s not where this ends up, but I’m open to hearing about anything, really. Any advice or personal stories about how to fix my penis would be really appreciated, thanks!

Doctors' responses

Starting with your symptoms, it’s important to first identify any underlying causes for the change in sensitivity and the discomfort you’re experiencing. These symptoms can be attributed to several factors, such as nerve problems, hormonal imbalances, circulatory issues, or even skin conditions. Psychological factors like stress or anxiety also play a notable role in sexual health and can manifest physically. Given the persistence of your symptoms, it’s advisable to start with a visit to your primary care doctor. They can perform an initial assessment, including discussing your medical history, lifestyle, and any medications you’re taking, then offer some initial guidance. Depending on their findings, they might recommend a referral to a urologist, who is specialized in such issues. Regarding possible causes, peripheral neuropathy could affect nerve sensitivity, circulation issues stemming from conditions like diabetes or hypertension might be to blame, or there could be a dermatological concern such as dermatitis. It’s also worth considering lifestyle factors — excessive consumption of alcohol, smoking, or even high levels of stress could exacerbate your symptoms. Over-the-counter products may not always target the underlying issue, making professional input crucial before further self-treatment. As for surgical interventions, these are generally considered only when less invasive measures fail, and the underlying condition is well-identified, such as a specific structural problem. First, focus on a comprehensive diagnostic assessment to clarify the nature of the problem. Meanwhile, maintain a balanced diet, exercise regularly, ensure adequate hydration, and aim for stress reduction techniques, like mindfulness or counseling if applicable. Remember, confidentiality and sensitivity are maintained in medical settings, so don’t let embarrassment delay seeking help. Finding the cause is key to resolving your symptoms effectively.
