What is the best way to improve energy levels, gain weight, and treat hair fall and allergies in a 21-year-old?

Client_7bf48d

Doctor, I am 21 years old. My height is 5 feet 6 inches and my weight is 51 kg. I have a skinny body type and low energy levels. I often feel tired and low in stamina. I also have skin-related allergy issues. I am facing significant hair fall. I also have dandruff on my scalp, eyebrows/eyelids, and sometimes in my ears as well. My eyes also feel itchy at times. I often feel more sensitive to cold than others. This problem started around 3 years ago after I had a fever due to cold exposure. Since then, these issues have been ongoing. Along with this, I also have recurrent allergy-like symptoms such as sneezing, watery nose, and watery eyes. I want a proper solution for all these issues. I want to improve my overall health, increase my weight and strength, improve my energy levels, and be able to focus better on my studies. I also want permanent relief from dandruff, hair fall, and allergy symptoms.

To tackle your symptoms effectively, we’ll need to assess and address a few key areas affecting your overall health. First off, your low energy and sensitivity to cold might suggest an underlying issue like hypothyroidism, which can also contribute to hair fall and changes in skin and scalp. It would be prudent to get a thyroid function test as part of your evaluation. Weight gain and energy levels can be improved by focusing on a balanced diet that’s rich in lean proteins, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates. Make sure you’re consuming enough calories to support your metabolism and muscle growth. Include nuts, seeds, avocados, and dairy, and engage in strength training exercises to promote healthy weight gain and muscle mass.

For your allergies, environmental triggers could be the main cause—consider antihistamines or explore allergy testing for specific identification of triggers and tailor your environment to minimize exposure. Regularly washing linens and using air purifiers can help. Hair fall and scalp issues like dandruff can sometimes point to conditions like seborrheic dermatitis, which leadingly responds to medicated shampoos containing ketoconazole or selenium sulfide. Ensure you’re not scrubbing harshly, which can exacerbate the situation.

On a lifestyle note, make sure you’re staying hydrated as it benefits both skin and hair health, and try maintaining regular sleep patterns to help your body recover and maintain energy. Lastly, if any new or severe symptoms arise, or the current ones persist, follow up with a healthcare provider for a more personalized assessment and treatment plan. Addressing these areas in an integrated manner should positively impact your energy, weight, hair health, and allergy symptoms.
