How to adjust my Levothyroxine dosage for uncontrolled hypothyroidism after stopping medication? - #30125
I am a thyroid patient with a history of severe hypothyroidism. My previous TSH level was around 100, and I was prescribed 150 mcg of Levothyroxine. For the last 3–4 months, I did not do any thyroid testing, and I stopped taking my thyroid medicine for around 1 month. I recently did a thyroid profile test on 17 May 2026. The report shows: - TSH: 119.50 µIU/mL (Very High) - T4 Total: 3.85 µg/dL (Low) - T3 Total: 1.21 ng/mL (Within Range) The report suggests uncontrolled hypothyroidism. I want guidance regarding: - whether my medicine dose needs adjustment, - how to properly restart/manage treatment, - and what precautions I should follow. I am also experiencing symptoms related to low thyroid function such as low energy and weakness.
